History

If you ate at Taco Via' in the 70's, these faces probably look familiar.  Founders, Robert and Antonette Throneberry, opened their first store on December 9, 1968 at 75th and Metcalf in Overland Park, Kansas.  Side by side the couple worked developing a Mexican Restaurant that would please many generations to come.

Steven Throneberry, Robert and Antonette's oldest son, worked along side his parents in the family business since the early 1970's as district manager for several location's.  Steve and his wife opened their own store in Lee's Summit, MO. in 1995.  They later became the Taco Via' Franchise owners.  In 2006 Steve and his wife opened another location in Olathe, KS. The Throneberry's will continue to bring their fine Mexican cuisine to the greater Kansas City area with the third generation of their family.
